Juso inheritance tax initiative

On 17 June 2025, the Council of States decided to follow the Federal Council and the National Council in recommending to the people – without counterproposal – the rejection of the Juso inheritance tax initiative. The initiative is not considered to have much chance of success by the daily press and political observers.
However, given the far-reaching consequences of an unexpected acceptance, it may nevertheless be advisable to analyze certain measures. We would be pleased to assist you in this regard if required.
